• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My jingle develop the conventions of a real radio show because it introduces a real guest and would work well at the beginning of a radio show. The jingle follows the genre of the programme based around the target audience with the music and instruments chosen. I believe i have met the criteria of the radio show as the specification declared but i do not belive some of it is necessary for the show its self, firstly i do not think there need to be a response from the guest and also i do not think an archive clip is necessarily important. But all in all i think this could work very well as a real radio show jingle expecially at the beginning of a show.
• How does your media product represent particular social groups?
My media product represents a particular social group because it is trying to touch people of my age, which is easier for me because i know what people like me enjoy. When radio stations like mine are created it is normally by a 30 year old man trying to make things better for people my age, though it is done with good intentions they do not always know what is best for this tricky and demanding tearget audience. I think the thing that really helped is my guest, he is a young man who is following his dreams which is what most people want in their lives!
• What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I think the kind of media institution that would distribute my show would be either something like radio 1 because it wants to appeal to the younger audience, or maybe a college or university radio station. I think this because thats the best way for young people to discover and listen to my radio product, it saves a lot of advertising aswell because these are the stations that young people listen to!
