Example 3 – Wakeup to Wogan

This jingle unlike the other two wasn’t on BBC Radio 1 it was on BBC Radio 2, this means though the target audience’s for the shows will be different, the target audiences for the radio stations also vary greatly. Whilst Radio 1 is there to play new upbeat music for the younger audience, Radio two is for more middle aged people who are more about the entertainment and a little less ‘hardcore’ music. The jingle itself doesn’t seem to exist and it just begins with Terry talking to the listeners, this is nice in a way because it just cracks straight on with the show and doesn’t confuse people with a jingle. One thing that is bad about this is that there isn’t any information about who the guest is and also what radio station which we have tuned into, this could make people lose the station next time they turn the radio on.
